Favorite Movies
For me, the movies that stand the test of time are ones that are not based on real life. So my favorites are anime, ridiculous comedies, musicals, sci-fi and movies where things blow up, or get heisted.
- Howl's Moving Castle - from the same studio that created the better known animated film Spirited Away, which is also genius
- Be Cool - This movie was so funny and under appreciated

Favorite Charities
I've had the privilege of working with several organizations whose missions were to improve people's lives:
Aid to Children of Imprisoned Mothers
Right now, an estimated 8,000 children in Georgia have mothers who are in prison. Research has shown that these children with parents in prison are five times more likely to end up in prison themselves. AIM is the only nonprofit in Georgia whose sole mission is to provide programs and services to inspire these children to become successful adults and reduce the chance that they will turn to crime.
Food Bank for New York City
The largest food bank in the country, the Food Bank for New York City provides the food for 250,000 meals each day distributed to food pantries, soup kitchens and other programs throughout the city.
Hands On Georgia
Hands On Georgia encourages people to do good things, and also to reflect on the reasons those things need to be done, by connecting volunteers to the Georgia organizations and communities that need them.
Hands On Network
Hands On Network brings people together to strengthen communities through volunteering. They mobilize more than a half million volunteers to change communities in the U.S. and around the world. Hands On Network creates and manages nearly 50,000 projects a year, from building wheelchair ramps in San Francisco to teaching reading in Atlanta, to rebuilding homes and lives in the Gulf coast communities.
Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund
Lambda Legal is a national organization that works to bring full equality to lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and people with HIV. To do that, they pursue impact litigation, education and advocacy to make the case for equality in state and federal court, the Supreme Court and in the court of public opinion.
